New CFO to Oversee Financial Vision as Fat Spaniel Continues Worldwide Push

Finance Veteran Joins Renewable Energy Performance Data Provider

SAN JOSE, California — Fat Spaniel Technologies (FST), the leading provider of critical data communications and monitoring infrastructure for the distributed generation industry, today announced that it has appointed Hitesh Shah as chief financial officer. A veteran of multiple venture-funded companies, Shah will oversee the company's financial management in the U.S. and abroad. FST's growing installed product base currently includes more than 500 sites in nine countries.

“Hitesh brings far more to the position than his financial experience alone; he is a CFO who is capable of strategic, cross-functional support of an entrepreneurial business. It's that ability to assess and act upon financial considerations in combination with broader market needs that make him an invaluable asset to our executive team,” said Chris Beekhuis, President and CTO of Fat Spaniel Technologies.

With experience as both an investor and an entrepreneur, Shah brings key international expertise to his new role at FST. While at iPolicy Networks, he led the financial integration of the company's U.S. and Indian operations, implementing financial dashboards and demand forecasts and aiding in raising $44 million in venture funding for the company. Prior to iPolicy, Shah served as vice president at WK Technology Fund, a private Taiwanese venture fund with over $700 million under management. There Shah strengthened the existing portfolio through sourcing deals, developing financial plans and raising capital.

“Over the years, I've had the opportunity to interact with start-ups and public companies in a range of capacities, as investor, board observer and senior manager, so I understand the inherent value in uniting key business functions - from finance and legal to program management and operations - under one umbrella,” said Hitesh Shah, CFO of Fat Spaniel Technologies. “As Fat Spaniel continues to grow internally and expand internationally, I will serve as a business partner to the entire organization.”
