We believe that our greatest asset is our staff and we have been fortunate to assemble a talented team. Our management team includes professionals with extensive and complementary backgrounds in Renewable Energy, Project Development, Marketing, Finance and Operations of early-stage technology companies and large-scale secure database applications. Outside Directors have served in prestigious positions such as President of Apple Computer (USA), Director of Cisco Systems and Chairman of the American Solar Energy Society.

Chris Beekhuis

Chris Beekhuis

President & Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Beekhuis has 18 years of software engineering and technology management experience. His achievements include: delivery of a real-time e-commerce transaction engine; hosted web applications; and shrink-wrapped, OEM and bundled applications. Prior to founding Fat Spaniel Technologies, Mr. Beekhuis was: VP, Renewable Energy Systems Division at Salas O'Brien Engineers Inc.; and VP, Engineering at eFinance Corporation Inc. He has held management and development positions with Digital Market Inc., Silicon Graphics, AddStor Incorporated, and DynaMedix Corporation. He holds an MS degree in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University as well as a BA in Computer Science from Cornell University. Mr. Beekhuis is LEED 2.0 accredited.


Hitesh Shah

Hitesh Shah

Chief Financial Officer

With finance experience at multiple venture-funded technology groups, Mr. Shah oversees Fat Spaniel's financial management in the US and abroad. Prior to joining Fat Spaniel Technologies, he was CFO of iPolicy Networks where he led financial integration of the global operations and assisted in securing substantial funding for the company. He also served as VP of the WK Technology Fund, where he strengthened the existing portfolio through sourcing deals, developing financial plans and raising capital. Mr. Shah holds a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Western Michigan University as well as an MBA from the University of California - Berkeley.

Greg Weaver

Vice President of Sales

Mr. Weaver has nearly 30 years of information systems sales experience including senior management positions at Salesforce.com, Aspect Communications and Sybase Inc. Prior to joining Fat Spaniel, Weaver served as vice president of sales for service and support applications at Salesforce.com where he launched a new product initiative that achieved 127 percent of target revenues in his first year. Weaver also held vice president of sales positions at Aspect Communications and Sybase Incorporated, where he consistently increased revenue, attracted and retained top talent, and successfully introduced new IT products focused on meeting critical business needs. He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from California State University, San Luis Obispo as well as an MBA with a minor in Information Systems from National University in San Diego, California.

Brett Francis

Brett Francis

Vice President of Engineering & Software Architecture

Mr. Francis brings more than 15 years of software engineering, enterprise architecture and technology management experience to Fat Spaniel Technologies. His achievements include successful delivery of an agile enterprise-class SOA infrastructure for use in the highly-audited mortgage B2B market, a carrier-class unified messaging solution for the telecommunications market, and numerous hosted business process automation web applications. Prior to joining Fat Spaniel Technologies, Mr. Francis held the position of Chief Architect - SVP, Service Development at the Merrill Lynch subsidiary, First Franklin Financial Corp. He holds a BS degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California.


Ron Lloyd

Ron Lloyd

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Lloyd has more than 20 years of experience in high technology process management including leadership roles at Hewlett Packard, Sun Microsystems and Tesla Motors, Inc. At Fat Spaniel Technologies, Lloyd will guide the operational ramp-up of the company’s independent monitoring services for renewable energy OEMs, integrators and PPA service providers worldwide.

Before joining the team at Fat Spaniel Technologies, Lloyd served as vice president of the White Star Program for Tesla Motors, Inc., where he established and developed the overall manufacturing program plan and business model in Detroit. Over the fourteen years prior, Lloyd served as vice president of Sun Microsystems, where he led new products and engineering as well as worldwide manufacturing operations. Previously, Lloyd managed capacity expansions for Hewlett Packard. Lloyd currently serves on the board for Grid Alternatives, a non-profit that provides solar electric solutions for low-income Californian homeowners. Ron holds a BS in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College, and an MS in Environmental Engineer and Science from Stanford University.
 


Richard Eckman

Richard Eckman

Director of Sales Engineering

Mr. Eckman brings more than 20 years of experience in product engineering and technical management to Fat Spaniel Technologies. He has taken products from concept to production for the industrial market and has managed departmental and cross-functional teams. His background includes leading product development, design for manufacturability and safety compliance, risk analysis, and failure mode analysis. He has worked in the semiconductor industry at Teradyne, electronics test at Photon Dynamics and defense electronics at Teledyne CME. Mr. Eckman holds an MS degree in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University and a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois.


Nancy McKereghan

Nancy McKereghan

Director of Delivery Management

Ms. McKereghan has more than 20 years experience managing teams in Marketing, Operations and Engineering for start-up and Fortune 500 firms. Prior to joining Fat Spaniel Technologies, she served as Operations Manager for Azad Technology Development, a firm specializing in object-oriented software solutions for semiconductor process equipment. While at Teradyne and KLA Instruments, she managed teams with strategic partners such as Motorola, IBM and Tokyo Electron. Ms. McKereghan holds a PMPR certification from the Project Management Institute.


Sheila Cumpston

Marc Winner

Director of Information Technology

Mr. Winner brings 17 years of IT experience managing hundreds of successful
IT projects delivering utmost system reliability, and security. With that experience he has developed special expertise with a broad range of technology skills perfectly suited for scaling Fat Spaniel Technologies’ stable and secure infrastructure. Prior to joining Fat Spaniel Technologies, Mr. Winner held IT management positions with First Franklin Financial, and Texas Instruments. He also provided IT consulting services delivering highly available, agile heterogeneous environments that were compliant with such standards as SOX, GLBA and Safe Harbor. He holds a BS in Information Technology, and extensive security/monitoring training and certifications.


Sheila Cumpston

Sheila Cumpston

Director of Human Resources

Ms. Cumpston has more than 20 years of diversified business and Human Resources experience. For the past 10 years, she has been focused in the Human Resources arena at companies such as SGI, eFinance, IAS, Mobility Networks, Intuit & Yahoo!. She later started her own Human Resources consulting business bossOme, Inc. She holds a BS from University of Nebraska at Lincoln and a Human Resource Management Certification from UC Santa Cruz. Ms. Cumpston is also a member of SHRM (Society Human Resource Management) & NCHRA (Northern California Human Resource Association).
