“Fat Spaniel’s class was essential in my understanding of the importance of solar array monitoring. Their hands-on approach to training was integral to my ability to go out on my own and bring the ‘gateway’ link into service,” said David Sims of Chico Electric. “I would recommend this training to any person using this system and its services.”

Chris Beekhuis, president and CTO of Fat Spaniel Technologies, added, “This is the type of accreditation that will help raise the bar in our industry and will be increasingly important as more installers begin to offer monitoring as a standard component of every solar system.”

Fat Spaniel’s training courses are designed to help installers develop:

  • An integrated understanding of the distributed monitoring system as a whole
  • Skills to integrate monitoring from the beginning to the end of the installation process – from site planning to continued system maintenance
  • Knowledge to properly and efficiently install NEC compliant monitoring packages through instructor-led hands-on labs.
Offered every three weeks at the company’s headquarters in San Jose, CA, as well as on-site at partner locations whenever required, Fat Spaniel’s training course is approved for six hours of NABCEP credit. For detailed schedule, see: http://fatspanieltraining.webex.com.
