Accounting Manager
Job Summary
This is a highly visible position, reporting to the Controller of the company. The Accounting Manager is expected to work independently in the areas of revenue recognition, invoicing, G/L accounting, transaction processing and be cross-trained in all other areas of accounting
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accounting reconciliation and maintain general ledger in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Prepare and enter journal entries
- Drive implementation of revenue policy and the improvement of revenue controls. Key role will be in providing recommendations for improvement and assisting in the implementation of change in both Finance and non-Finance areas.
- Conduct accounting policy & principle revenue related research and pro actively advises on emerging issues and their impact.
- Drive the deployment of revenue policies, procedures and controls.
- Review and maintain deferred revenue accounts with special focus on services revenue.
- Assist with processing and review of new orders as necessary.
- Communicate with account managers, sales team and customers on contracts
- Manage the process of all service orders and customer files while ensuring data integrity.
- Participate in the monthly closing process to ensure 100% accuracy of revenue recognition.
- Assist with preparing, maintaining and updating documentation of internal controls as needed.
- Assist with annual audits.
- Involvement in the monthly close process, including a modest number of reconciliations.
- Complete ad-hoc projects under the direction of the Controller.
Job Requirements
- Must have 2 + years experience in public accounting, preferably with Big 4
- At least 1+ year experience in corporate environment preferred
- CPA designation or working towards the CPA designation preferred

East Coast Account Executive
Job Summary
This high profile position will report directly to the VP of Sales of the company. The Direct Sales Representative located on the East Coast will lead sales activities, building and managing Commercial client base. This position will be responsible for direct sales in the solar market by developing and enhancing sales strategies and programs to drive future revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Setting direction for and directly addressing the growth of the data needs of the corporation as described by the following items:
- Develop and execute sales strategy which encompasses expanding existing business partnerships, developing new relationships and entering new markets
- Identify and secure sales opportunities for service provider delivering monitoring and reporting service for renewable energy systems, including solar electric
- Develop strategies to penetrate commercial clients and manage a network of dealers, installers, integrators and value added resellers to achieve sales targets within the channel.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas and objectives; prepare monthly and quarterly forecast reports for management review

Information System Administrator III
Job Summary
This is the lead UNIX system administration role within the Fat Spaniel Technologies IT Team. The Information System Administrator III performs a key role in the management and operation of a 24x7 San Jose based Alternative Energy Company. We are looking for a responsible, disciplined individual for the management of the UNIX environment. The environment you will support is a heterogeneous blend of, Red Hat v5, v4. The position will administer and maintain all Corporate/Production UNIX Servers and Workstations assist Software Engineering in custom and standard builds, work closely with MYSQL DBA, & Application Engineering.

Job Requirements

Project Manager, Professional Services
Job Summary
This is a key position requiring a self-motivated individual that can take a hands-on role in managing multiple projects for key customers. The project manager will be responsible for all aspects of the project over the entire project life cycle. She / he will work closely with Sales, Engineering and Customer Support, ensuring that the customer requirements are clearly documented and that project objectives are accomplished. The Project Manager (PM) for Professional Services will report to the Program Management Office and will also provide support for custom development projects.

Senior Product Manager
Job Summary
The Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for product management of a targeted line of products for Fat Spaniel as well as having general responsibility for assigned areas of market research and analysis. This position is part of the Marketing Team, which is responsible for the company's market positioning, market research, product strategy, product launch and on-going promotion, web presence, sales tools, industry events, channel partner co-marketing and business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a product champion, whether for new or existing products
- Investigate markets, create business cases and deliver market / product requirements documents that define great products
- Ensure products / services will meet the needs of global customers
- Manage external technology partners e.g. joint development or OEM suppliers
- Work closely with Engineering and Program Management to ensure successful development of products that meet market needs, including features, cost / pricing and market timing window
- Work closely with Marcom, Sales and other company departments to ensure successful product launches and on-going marketing programs
- Track and analyse the sales results of key products and eliminate obstacles to greater market penetration
- Ensure products are correctly priced, monitor COGS and gross margins

SQA Manager
Job Summary
This is an opportunity to develop the Software Quality Assurance (SQA) function at FST. The Manager of SQA will oversee the planning and execution of Quality Assurance for all products, ensuring that test on new products is planned, developed and executed in a timely manner. The Manager of SQA will be the champion of the corporate product quality policy and create quality standards aligned with FSTís business practices and procedures.
This role will work closely with Software Engineering to ensure that the SQA architecture and environment is designed to support the product requirements and with Production IT, Operations and Professional Services to ensure successful rollout of releases to internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to establish SQA standards, processes and procedures for Fat Spaniel.
- Responsible for architecting, developing and maintaining the test and release framework for FST.
- Will define and provide test metrics and communicate software quality measurements across†the organization†and to Senior Management
- Responsible for selection of SQA tools and implementation of tools into test environment
- Create SQA processes that meet the needs of internal (Software Engineering, Production IT, Professional Services) and external customers.
