CEC Approves Rebates for Monitoring Meters

Solar Access
SolarAccess.com - Fat Spaniel Technologies, which specializes in real-time solar monitoring, has received California Energy Commission (CEC) approval for PV2Web as an eligible system performance meter in California's Renewable Energy Program.

Fat Spaniel Technologies was founded with the goal of making renewable energy more visible, accessible and compelling to end users, industry professionals and policy makers. As part of this commitment, the CEC approval will allow Fat Spaniel Technologies' customers to receive rebates and incentives for installing PV2Web as part of their renewable energy system. The company's system offers the solar industry an “entirely new category of energy monitoring and visualization tools, which provide anytime, anywhere energy monitoring,” according to Chris Beekhuis, President of Fat Spaniel Technologies.

PV2Web uses easy to understand displays, which allow users to view real-time and historical status, energy usage, and environmental benefits, as well as receive System Alerts via any computer, PDA or cell phone. PV2Web is manufacturer independent, allowing an installer to receive consistent data from all their installations, and build an aggregated view of all their sites from any location. "Built-in System Alerts reduce the time and expense of site visits by allowing remote troubleshooting of customer sites, and provides the control to take preventative action," said Beekhuis.
