Solar Plant Vision

Fat Spaniel’s Solar Plant VisionTM is a category-defining Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) for solar photovoltaic (PV) portfolio management. Tailored to Plant Operations Management and Maintenance (O&M) and other job functions that span the end-to-end lifecycle, Solar Plant Vision provides the ability to analyze plant performance, detect plant level faults in real time, run standard and custom plant reports, and visualize plant-level asset information through rich, interactive charting and reporting interfaces.

These solutions help optimize solar plant production, minimize plant downtime, and enable peak plant performance.

Multi-Plant Portfolio Management

  • Administrative Interface: Change parameters associated with Solar Plant Vision, including the descriptions of a plant site and its assets, and configure the performance ratios tracked at each plant.
  • Portfolio Dashboard: Review summary displays of portfolio production and performance showing current, yesterday, last week, last month, last year, and lifetime production values.
  • Portfolio Asset Explorer: Visualize assets within a portfolio, and understand performance degradation. Locate assets on a map. Visualization schemes include a Google map mashup and performance grids.
  • Portfolio Plant List: View each site’s health status, view link, location, and rated plant size.
  • Portfolio Event Log: Track every event and event details across the entire portfolio.

Optimized Per-plant Operation

  • Plant Event Log: Review a log of all events at a plant. The log includes event information including duration, asset identification, description, start date, end date, notification timestamp, and notations of repository or acknowledgement events.
  • Plant Production Reports: Distribute standard and advanced/custom reports based on data sets that are collected at the plant level.
  • Plant Energy Production Management Dashboard: View dynamic displays showing total plant energy production and environmental conditions over time, performance charting, and sub-system performance at the string- and sub-array levels (if applicable).
  • Application Programming Interface: Give software developers the abilities to access, read, and write plant-level data utilizing a Web services interface, thus providing the ability to integrate the service with SCADA solutions, create entirely new web applications, or integrate back-office software solutions.
